Ken Bonenberger, Esq.

Ken joined Thrivest Funding in 2016 and now serves as General Counsel and Chief Risk Officer for the parent company Experity Ventures LLC. Before joining the company he was Vice President and Corporate Counsel at the JG Wentworth Company where he oversaw regulatory, licensing and contractual matters, managed pre-settlement finance litigation and was part of the integration team during the acquisition of a mortgage platform. From 2008 to 2015, Ken served as In-House counsel and Attorney Manager with Peachtree Financial Solutions where he directed the underwriting and legal research for the pre-settlement finance division and advised the C-Suite on unique legal investment opportunities.

From 2005 to 2007, Mr. Bonenberger was Vice President and Corporate Counsel for Fidelity Federal Bank and Trust where he oversaw compliance and regulatory matters and managed the bank’s litigation. Before that, Ken was a medical malpractice and personal injury defense attorney with the firm Sonnenborn, Rutter, Cooney and Klingensmith. Mr. Bonenberger earned a JD from the University of Florida School of Law in 1998 and a BA in economics from Haverford College in 1991.

Michael Shaw, CPA, Esq.

Mike is the company’s Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Experity, from 2015 to 2018, Mr. Shaw served as the Chief Accounting Officer and Corporate Controller for the JG Wentworth Company, a diversified financial services company focused on providing direct to consumer access to financing solutions through a variety of products that include mortgage lending and refinancing, structured settlement annuities and prepaid credit and debit card products.

From 2011 to 2015, Mr. Shaw served as Vice President of Accounting Policy for Santander Bank, one of the countries largest retail banks by deposit and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Banco Santander where he was responsible for accounting policies, transaction advisory and due diligence assignments for the company.

Previously, he was an Assistant Vice President for Reporting and Compliance at Capmark Financial Group and an audit manager with Ernst & Young. During his tenure at Ernst & Young, Mr. Shaw led multijurisdictional audit engagements for Fortune 500 public companies in the manufacturing and consumer products sectors.

Mr. Shaw is a certified public accountant, licensed in Pennsylvania, A Chartered Accountant in the United Kingdom and is licensed to practice law in New York state. He received his law degree with honors in 1998 and his Masters of Business Administration in 2000 from the University of Sheffield, in Sheffield, England.

As Chief Executive Officer, Ryan leads the Experity Ventures portfolio of investment funds and business platforms. Prior to joining Experity, he was the CEO and General Counsel of CBC Settlement Funding, LLC. CBC is a leading company focused on providing liquidity to holders of high-quality deferred payment obligations. Additionally, from August 2011 to May 2015, Mr. Silverman was chief executive officer and general counsel for MSR Consulting Group, a financial consulting firm tasked with creating and implementing operational platforms for large specialty finance enterprises.

From September 2005 to August 2011, he was senior in-house counsel in the structured settlement division of Peachtree Funding and from November 2004 to September 2005, he served as a legal and compliance analyst focused on anti-Money Laundering at the Israel Discount Bank of New York a full-service commercial bank chartered by the state of New York and a member of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). From March 2003 to October 2004 he was an associate at Silverman Acampora, LLP a law firm specializing in bankruptcy and corporate re-organization. Mr. Silverman graduated from George Washington University in 1999 with a B.A. in Corporate Finance and received a J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2002. Mr. Silverman is licensed to practice law in New York State.

Andrew Zuch

Senior Vice President, Investments

Responsible for the development and implementation of Experity Ventures’ junior capital strategy with emphasis on both institutional capital providers and accredited investors.

Andrew has extensive capital-raising experience in multi-family and other investment real estate as well. During his prior business career as an entrepreneur, Andrew successfully founded, scaled, and sold several companies in multiple industries. Andrew received a BA in Business Management from Franklin & Marshall College.
