Mr. Daniel Markee, a longtime resident of Minneapolis and now Philadelphia, is a career real estate and financial services professional. Mr. Markee formed Forterra in 1994 to offer tailored investment and asset management services for private placements in real estate and related operating companies, with a keen focus on optimizing real estate capital structuring for client projects across the United States.

Mr. Markee’s journey into real estate began after earning his degree in business administration and finance from the University of Colorado – Boulder. He honed his expertise by collaborating with various private real estate groups in Colorado and Minnesota before assuming the role of Vice President of Real Estate at Washington Square Capital, Inc. During his seven-year tenure there, he specialized in the strategic resolution of distressed real estate joint ventures nationwide, laying a solid foundation for his future endeavors with Forterra.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mr. Markee has also contributed to the broader real estate community. He served as a director of Beverly Hills Bancorp (NASDAQ:BHBC) from June 1999 to August 2005, where he played pivotal roles on both the audit and compensation committees.
